What our clients and team members say about EIH Care

Why It Works

Support In Your Own Community

Being supported at home means you stay in the place where you feel most comfortable, surrounded by your own routines and memories. Our support workers help you keep that independence, while making sure you’re safe and well.

Because our team is local, you’ll be matched with people who know your community and can help you stay connected with the things you enjoy. And once you’re happy with your team, we’ll make sure you continue seeing the same familiar faces, so your support feels stable and reliable.

No matter where you're located in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane, we have support services local to you.

SHARING ACTIVITIES, BUILDING CONNECTIONS

Life is fun with EIH Care!

Our regular community activities and day programs run across Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane, giving people the chance to connect, explore new experiences, and enjoy time together in a welcoming environment.

Your Questions Answered

Choosing the right provider is a big decision. Here are some of the questions people often ask us. Still have queries? Call us anytime on 1300 820 610.

Will I always have the same team?

We do our best to provide consistency because we know it helps people feel more comfortable. Once you’ve been matched with a support team you’re happy with, we aim to keep the same familiar faces visiting you regularly. If a change is ever needed, we’ll let you know in advance and introduce you to the new team member.

Can you help me get to appointments and activities?

Yes! Transport is part of our support. Whether it’s a doctor’s appointment, a community event, or simply meeting friends, our carers can drive you there and support you along the way. This means you don’t have to worry about organising separate transport services.

Do you provide support in hospitals or after discharge?

We can assist both during and after a hospital stay. Our carers can visit you in hospital to provide comfort and help, and once you’re discharged, we’ll support you at home to make the transition smoother. From preparing meals to helping with medications and follow-up appointments.

What happens if I need support outside regular hours?

We understand that care needs don’t always fit into a schedule. We provide flexible support, including evenings and weekends. If you need assistance outside of your usual times, just let us know and we’ll do our best to arrange it.

Do you work with allied health professionals?

Yes. Many people benefit from support that involves physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, or other allied health professionals. We coordinate with these services to make sure everyone is working together. Our support team can help follow therapy programs at home, attend appointments with you, and share updates so families stay informed too. This way, everyone is on the same page.

How do you involve families and informal supports?

Families and friends are an important part of care, and we see them as partners in the process. We’ll always respect the wishes of the person receiving support, while also keeping families informed and involved in ways that feel right for everyone. That might mean regular updates, inviting family input into planning, or simply being available to answer questions. Our goal is for both participants and their loved ones to feel supported, confident, and included.
